A few things worth knowing before we get started. Your written quote covers the details of your project, and this page explains the general terms of working with Ripple.

The short version. You’ll get a written quote before any work starts. Your domain and content stay yours. Hosting and ongoing support are optional, and you can stop them whenever you like.
Quotes
Every project starts with a written quote setting out what I’ll build, what’s included, the price and when payments are due. Straightforward small-business websites start from $950. The pricing page explains what’s included at that price.
Nothing is due until you’ve accepted the quote.
If you ask for something outside the agreed scope, I’ll let you know if it affects the price before doing the extra work.
Building your site
- I’ll build the site using the words, photos and logo you provide or approve. You’re responsible for checking that the content is accurate and that you have permission to use it.
- I’ll share the site as it comes together so you can review it and provide feedback. Your quote will specify how many rounds of changes are included.
- Once you’re happy with the finished site, I’ll connect your domain and launch it.
Hosting and care
Hosting and care is optional and charged monthly. The fee and what’s included will be set out in your quote. You can stop the service at any time.
If you decide to move elsewhere, I’ll hand over your content and help you move the site to another host.
I take responsibility for looking after the sites I host, but no hosting service can guarantee that a website will never have a problem. If something breaks, I’ll work to get it fixed as quickly as I can.
Who owns what
- Your domain stays registered in your name.
- Your content belongs to you, including your words, photos and logo.
- If you stop working with me, I won’t hold your domain or content back.
Your current website
Your existing website will stay as it is while I build the new one. Once you’re happy with the replacement, I’ll switch your domain over.
Email is separate from your website, so it should continue working as it does today.
The legal bit
Ripple is based in Christchurch, New Zealand, and New Zealand law applies. Nothing on this page limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law.
