What we do with your information.
Last updated 18 June 2026
Ripple is an independent software studio in Ōtautahi Christchurch. This page explains what little information we collect, why, and what happens to it. No legalese, no surprises.
What we collect
- When you contact us. If you fill in the form or email us, we receive your name, your email address, your business name (if you add it), and your message. Nothing more.
- Standard server logs. Like every website, our host records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, to keep the site secure and running. We do not use it to identify you.
Why we collect it
Only to read and reply to your message, and to keep the website online and secure. We never sell, rent or trade your details, and we will not add you to a marketing list.
Who helps us run things
We rely on a few trusted suppliers, and they only handle your information to provide their service to us:
- Vercel hosts the website and keeps the standard server logs above.
- Resend delivers your contact-form message to our inbox.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site uses, which means Google may receive your IP address when a page loads.
We do not use any analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tools.
Cookies and tracking
We do not set cookies, and there is no analytics, tracking or advertising technology anywhere on this site.
How long we keep it
We hold enquiry emails for as long as we reasonably need them to help you, then delete them. If you would like yours removed sooner, just ask.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will sort it out, usually the same day.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
