A stepped terrace of homes that turns to face the river, each level set back so light reaches the rooms behind. Concrete frame, timber lining, planted edges.

Work 02
Harbour Commons
A simple roofed room for a harbour township, planned around a sheltered court. The structure is left honest and on show; the building is mostly its threshold.
Work 03
Hori Bay Field Station
Three linked pavilions that walk down the slope rather than cut into it, so the ground keeps moving through the site. Built for a long life off the grid, in weathering timber and board-marked concrete.

02 / Approach
We begin from a fixed point and work outward. The site sets the rules; the building answers to them, not the other way around.
a Site before form
Every project starts on the ground. We read the slope, the light, the sightlines and the neighbours before a single wall is drawn, then let those facts shape the plan.
b Built to last
We favour honest, durable materials left close to their raw state: concrete, steel, glass and timber that earn their patina and ask little of the people who keep them.
c Measured, not loud
Good buildings rarely shout. We aim for proportion, daylight and a clear way through, so a place feels calm long after the novelty of a façade has worn off.
d Made for here
The weather, the light and the particular way a site sits in its surroundings inform everything. We design for the climate and the place, not for a render.
03 / The practice
A small studio, hands on from sketch to handover.
Six people, one room, no layers between you and the architect drawing your project. We take on a handful of jobs at a time so each gets proper attention.

Set the datum
We survey the site, gather the constraints and agree the one or two ideas the whole project will measure itself against.
/ 02
Test in the round
Massing models, sections and physical study models, worked until the form is right in plan, in light and on the budget.

Detail with care
Documentation that builders can read and trust, with the junctions resolved before anyone is on site.
/ 04
See it through
We stay close through construction, on the tools when it counts, until the keys are handed over and the building settles in.
