Fixed blocks when someone cannot work: study days, a second job, standing commitments. We added this when the clinics came on. It lives in its own tab rather than inside the grid, because threading it through the week properly was too risky to rush.

Why this matters on the grid
Swap board
Where staff hand off shifts they cannot do. This screen shipped fast the week swaps got out of hand, and it still looks its age. It works, which is the point. A swap only changes the roster once you approve it.

Plan and billing
Flat monthly fee per site, not per personYour plan
You are on Starter. It is not sold any more. We grandfathered it for everyone who was here at the start, so you keep it at the old price for as long as you stay. New sites go on Single or Multi-site.
Change plan
Moving off Starter is a one-way door. Most owners stay put. If you open a second site you will need Multi-site, and we will sort the move with you so nothing breaks mid-week.

Bring back the old roster view
The plain list roster from the early days. Some long-time owners never moved to the week grid and run the whole week off this. It is still here, and it is quietly the reason the big rebuild keeps getting put off.

The number the cost strip measures against. Set it from a quiet week, not a good one, or every busy week looks like a disaster.
Maximum hours per person
Cadence warns when a roster pushes someone past this in a week. Came in with the clinics. It is a warning, not a hard stop, because you sometimes need to override it and you know your team.
Payroll export
Default provider
The export matches the quirks of three payroll providers. The fourth, generic, fallback needs a one-line manual fix every run. We have not hidden that, and it is where most of our support tickets still come from.
